Ha Tinh leaders meet and dialogue with businesses and entrepreneurs

The meeting and dialogue between the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and businesses and entrepreneurs of Ha Tinh was attended by nearly 200 businesses, cooperatives and business households in the area.

On the afternoon of October 12, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha chaired a meeting and dialogue with enterprises and entrepreneurs in 2023.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Trung Dung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Linh, Secretary of the City Party Committee Duong Tat Thang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Van Ky, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau; leaders of VCCI Nghe An branch, relevant departments, agencies, units and localities attended the conference.

The conference was attended by nearly 200 enterprises, cooperatives and business households in the province.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha praised, acknowledged and thanked the contributions and achievements of the business community and entrepreneurs in the province. In the overall achievements of socio-economic development of the province, there are extremely important contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The provincial leaders sympathize with the current difficulties of enterprises and today's dialogue conference is an opportunity for the province and departments, branches and localities to directly listen to recommendations, reflections and proposals of enterprises, thereby joining hands to remove difficulties and obstacles and have timely solutions for direction and management.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that enterprises, business associations, and cooperatives will participate in contributing ideas and recommendations on solutions and policies or providing feedback on issues related to the province's socio-economic development.

Based on the opinions and recommendations of enterprises, request departments, branches and localities to respond clearly and focusedly; clarify which tasks can be solved and indicate the address responsible for solving them immediately, which tasks cannot be solved, there must be a valid reason, point out the problem, who is primarily responsible, who is coordinating so that enterprises, agencies and individuals can work together to solve them.

Up to now, the whole province has nearly 12,800 enterprises and affiliated units, of which about 8,660 enterprises are operating, with an average registered capital of 7 billion VND/enterprise.

In addition, the province has 1,039 cooperatives and more than 2,942 cooperative groups, over 60,000 business households (of which 52,430 households have business registration).

Director of the Department of Planning and Investment Tran Viet Ha reported on the operation and development of enterprises, cooperatives and investment attraction in 2023.

In the first 9 months of 2023, the whole province established nearly 900 new enterprises with a total registered capital of nearly 3,700 billion VND, equal to 52.4% over the same period in 2022.

The contribution of the business sector to the budget accounts for nearly 79% of the total budget revenue and about 81% of the total social investment capital in the province. The development of businesses has promoted the economic restructuring in the right direction (reducing the proportion of agriculture, increasing the proportion of industry, construction and services); creating jobs for nearly 88,000 workers.

In recent times, the business community has also actively participated in social charity activities, building new rural areas, contributing hundreds of billions of VND to welfare funds, supporting the construction of schools, houses..., contributing to ensuring social security in the locality.

In the first 9 months of 2023, Ha Tinh approved the investment policy of 12 domestic projects and 1 foreign project with a total capital of nearly 3,000 billion VND. To date, the province has about 1,450 domestic investment projects with a total investment of about 140,000 billion VND and 69 foreign investment projects with a total investment of about 16.1 billion USD.
