According to the latest rankings announced by FIFA on April 4, the Vietnamese women's futsal team continues to maintain its 4th position in Asia and 11th in the world. Thanks to its impressive performance in the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship qualifiers, the team has accumulated an additional 15.32 points, bringing its total score to 1135.7.
The most recent tournament that coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team participated in was the 2025 Asian women's futsal qualifiers, which took place in Myanmar in January 2025, and they excellently won first place in Group D. In which, the Vietnamese futsal girls won a resounding 5-1 victory over host Myanmar and drew 2-2 with Chinese Taipei.

In Asia, Thailand is still the number 1 team, ranked 5th in the world. The next positions belong to Iran (ranked 9th in the world) and Japan (ranked 10th in the world).
Meanwhile, the world women's futsal rankings have no changes at the top, with the top four positions belonging to Brazil, Spain, Portugal and Argentina respectively.
Currently, the Vietnamese women's futsal team is training at District 8 Gymnasium, Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship Finals in May. In this tournament, the team will face Iran, the Philippines and Hong Kong (China).
Before attending the final round, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang will have a training trip in Japan and is expected to have another friendly match with China.
