An impressive festival

This was a successful festival in many aspects, both in terms of quantity and quality of works, modern and professional journalism skills, both in scale and organizational capacity. In particular, the festival left many emotions and good impressions on radio workers across the country thanks to the thoughtful and responsible preparation and the friendliness and hospitality of the people of Thanh Hoa.

On the evening of July 13, at Lam Son Theater (Thanh Hoa City), the Closing Ceremony of the 16th National Radio Festival - 2024 took place.

Attending the closing ceremony were comrade Do Tien Sy, member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam, Head of the Steering Committee of the 16th National Radio Festival, and comrades in the Board of Directors of the Voice of Vietnam.

On the side of Thanh Hoa province, there were comrades: Do Trong Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Do Minh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee; Mai Xuan Liem, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dau Thanh Tung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of the 16th National Radio Festival; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of departments, branches, unions at the provincial level and districts, towns and cities in the province.

Also attending were leaders of provinces and cities nationwide; international guests; sponsors and especially nearly 1,000 journalists from radio and television stations, media centers nationwide and units under the Voice of Vietnam.

Every two years, the National Radio Festival has gone through 15 seasons, each season with its own mark.

According to the Organizing Committee, the 16th National Radio Festival was an impressive and warm festival in the beautiful and hospitable land of Thanh Hoa. This was a successful festival in many aspects, both in terms of quantity and quality of works, modern and professional journalism skills, both in scale and organizational capacity. In particular, the Festival left many emotions and good impressions on radio workers across the country thanks to the thoughtful and responsible preparation and the friendliness and hospitality of the people of Thanh Hoa.

The number of participating units and the number of works increased significantly. The quality of the works was consistent. The works that entered the final round were truly impressive, demonstrating the attention, meticulous investment, and professionalism of radio stations, television stations, media centers across the country and units under the Voice of Vietnam.

True to the theme "Vietnam Radio - Diversity in Digital Transformation", the entries clearly demonstrate exploration, discovery, and many new ways of doing things according to modern, creative, and highly professional radio trends, creating positive social effects so that radio is increasingly more closely connected and closer to social life.

Representatives of the Voice of Vietnam Radio Station and Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Mai Xuan Liem presented the Golden Voice Award; Excellent MC Award; Program Production Technique Award; Digital Platform Application Award and Podcast Award to groups and individuals.

Representative of the Voice of Vietnam Radio Station and Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung awarded silver prizes for the categories of live radio programs, reports and thematic radio programs.

Comrades Do Minh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Tran Minh Hung, Deputy General Director of Voice of Vietnam Radio Station awarded silver prizes in the categories of interviews, ethnic language radio programs and radio stories.

After 5 days of urgent, serious and responsible work, the Final Jury selected and awarded 28 gold prizes, 58 silver prizes, 71 bronze prizes, 63 consolation prizes and other prestigious awards such as: Golden Voice Award; Outstanding MC Award; Program Production Technique Award; Digital Platform Application Award and Podcast Award.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded gold, silver, bronze and other prestigious prizes to authors and groups of authors.

Comrade Do Tien Sy, member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam, Head of the Steering Committee of the 16th National Radio Festival, presented the flag to the host unit of the 17th National Radio Festival.

The 17th National Radio Festival will be held in 2026 in Quang Ninh province.
