On the afternoon of January 14, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Dak Lak province and the Provincial Border Guard Command (BĐBP) held a conference to sign the regulations on coordination in implementing the task of combining socio-economic development with ensuring national defense and security for the period 2025 - 2030 and the following years.
Mr. Nguyen Hoai Duong, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the province and Colonel Dao Viet Hung, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard, co-chaired the conference. Attending the conference were Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van, representatives of the leaders of the two border districts and agencies and units in the province.
According to the coordination regulations, the two sides agreed to regularly exchange and inform about the situation related to the following areas: border protection management; forestry and fisheries; animal and plant disease prevention; poverty reduction and new rural construction; management and protection of sovereignty, territorial integrity, maintenance of political security, social order and safety; prevention and mitigation of natural disasters (floods, storms, fires, forest fires, search and rescue), management, exploitation and protection of irrigation works, domestic water works; work of stabilizing population; elephant conservation and wildlife rescue...
The two sides coordinated to effectively organize propaganda work and raise awareness among officials and people in border areas about building and developing socio-economy, escaping poverty, stabilizing life; preserving and promoting national cultural values and identities; and performing well the tasks of protecting sovereignty, territorial integrity, borders, forests and agricultural, forestry and fishery resources.
The two sides agreed on methods to handle incidents; coordinate in increasing production, implementing agricultural extension work; forest management and protection, forest fire prevention and fighting and forestry production; prevent and combat violations of forestry laws; support work to improve professional skills; participate in building mass organizations of the two units and participate in volunteer activities in the area.
Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van emphasized: Building and developing the Central Highlands region must harmoniously combine economic, cultural, social development, protection of resources and environment with national defense, security and foreign affairs. Taking economic, cultural and social development as the foundation for maintaining national defense, security, political and social stability. Therefore, the development of regulations on implementing coordination regulations between the agricultural sector and the Border Guard is extremely necessary and appropriate.
In the coming time, the Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee requested the two sides to continue to exploit and effectively implement the coordination regulations; proactively, actively, and systematically implement the principles of "respect, trust, and unification of command, direction, and management based on the functions, tasks, and powers of each side". Immediately after the conference, the two units thoroughly grasped and seriously and extensively implemented the contents of the coordination regulations to each department and officer in their unit; every year, each agency must develop a specific plan to concretize the signed contents within the functions and tasks of the unit, assign specific tasks to each department for implementation; periodically organize meetings, review, and evaluate the situation and results of the implementation of the coordination regulations, point out the contents that have been done, the contents that have not been done, and the reasons, thereby adjusting and supplementing the regulations to suit practical conditions.
