At the meeting, the People's Council of Dien Bien Phu City focused on reviewing and evaluating the implementation of socio-economic development tasks; state budget revenue and expenditure in the first 6 months of the year, key tasks and solutions in the last 6 months of 2024. Accordingly, from the beginning of the year until now, most of the socio-economic indicators of Dien Bien Phu City have met expectations, of which some indicators have been high and increased compared to the same period in 2023. Notably: Successfully coordinating to organize many important events, attracting many domestic and foreign tourists; agricultural - forestry, industrial - handicraft production activities have developed relatively stably; the trade - service sector has developed strongly; total retail sales of goods reached 65.35% compared to the annual plan and increased by 71% compared to the same period in 2023.
The City People's Committee actively overcame the shortcomings in urban order in the previous period; the organization of land acquisition, compensation and site clearance was focused and accelerated. Dien Bien Phu City also actively and strongly reformed the investment and business environment, focusing on reforming administrative procedures, building e-government; implementing Project 06 ranked first in the province. In addition, Dien Bien Phu City focused on mobilizing support for building solidarity houses for poor households; paid attention to creating jobs for 1,620 workers...
Also at this session, the People's Council of Dien Bien Phu City, term VI, discussed and approved the Resolution on key tasks and solutions for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the last 6 months of 2024; Resolution on adjusting the final settlement of revenue and expenditure of the budget in 2022; Resolution on the final settlement of revenue and expenditure of the city budget in 2023; Resolution on adjusting and supplementing the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025 of local budget capital; Resolution on the expected public investment plan in 2025, Dien Bien Phu City.
At the same time, the People's Council of Dien Bien City also discussed and passed a Resolution on approving the investment policy for the project to build a community cultural house in Phieng Loi village, Thanh Minh commune; a Resolution on adjusting the investment policy for the project to repair and upgrade Noong Bua, Khe Chit, and Nam Rom parks; a Resolution to cancel the investment policy for a number of projects in the city, such as: Project to upgrade and renovate Tran Can and Phan Dinh Giot streets; Project to upgrade and renovate the sidewalk system, drainage system, and technical trenches from the left canal to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Project to repair and pave the sidewalks of Nguyen Huu Tho and Tran Dang Ninh streets. In addition, within the framework of the session, a question-and-answer session was also held for members of the People's Committee of Dien Bien Phu City.
The 15th session of the People's Council of Dien Bien Phu City, term VI, 2021 - 2026, will take place for 1.5 days, from July 11 - 12.
