*China admits plane “accidentally” violated Japanese airspace: Japanese government officials said on November 19 that China has admitted that one of its military planes violated Japanese airspace in August but insisted it was not an intentional act.

The officials were informed by the Chinese government that the Y-9 reconnaissance aircraft encountered turbulence, forcing the crew to take evasive action that led the aircraft into Japanese airspace over the East China Sea on Aug. 26. (Kyodo)

*Philippine President wants to strengthen alliance with the US: Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos announced on November 19 that he had a "very friendly" phone call with US President-elect Donald Trump and expressed his desire to strengthen the alliance between the two countries.

Speaking to the press during his visit to Catanduanes Island on November 16, President Marcos announced that his phone call with Mr. Trump took place in a “very cordial” and “productive” atmosphere. President Marcos also said that Mr. Trump was “happy to hear from the Philippines.”

“The overwhelming support of Filipinos in the United States for your convincing victory is a testament to the deep and enduring friendship between our two countries,” the Philippine leader said. (AFP)

*Cambodia has a new Foreign Minister: According to the scheduled schedule, on the morning of November 20, the 7th National Assembly of Cambodia will continue its 3rd session with many agendas, including personnel changes in the position of Foreign Minister.
