On August 20, Allkpop reported more information about DJ Soda's case. Accordingly, on August 19, DJ SODA Eight Bulls Corporation and TryHard Japan announced that they would file a lawsuit against the female DJ for sexual assault.
However, because DJ Soda needs to continue performing abroad, all legal procedures and litigation related to the case are fully entrusted to TryHard Japan.
Music Festival Organizers in Japan File Lawsuit Over Sexual Assault Against DJ Soda During Performance
On August 13, DJ Soda wrote on Instagram that she was sexually assaulted while performing at the 2023 "Music Circus" Music Festival in Osaka, Japan.
She shared images of many men touching her "breasts" while interacting with the audience. During the chaos, they groped her rudely, without permission, and this was filmed and photographed.
The incident left DJ Soda scared and haunted. She shared: "To interact with the audience, I approached the crowd. However, not just one but many people suddenly attacked me, leaving me helpless, only able to pretend as if nothing happened."
She added that she had been in the profession for many years but had never had such an incident happen while performing. In the future, she would find it difficult to feel secure getting close to the audience and interacting like that.

Taking advantage of the moment she approached the audience to interact, the bad guy committed a condemnable act.
She also emphasized that what she wears is her own preference. She will wear whatever she feels beautiful, confident, and happy. No one has the right to touch her body or sexually harass her just because she wears sexy clothes.
The majority of the online community supported DJ Soda and condemned her attackers. They said that it was her right to wear whatever outfit she wanted to wear on stage. The criminals could not use this as an excuse for their actions.
Following DJ Soda’s sharing, on August 15, TryHard Japan released a statement in both Korean and Japanese about the incident. They announced that they would take legal action against the perpetrator. Accordingly, they filed a criminal lawsuit against the perpetrator and a civil lawsuit against the perpetrator for malicious comments, slander, and spreading false information about DJ Soda on social media.
DJ Soda was born in 1986, her real name is Hwang So-hee. She is known as the hottest DJ in Korea, has performed and is welcomed in many Asian countries.
