(Chinhphu.vn) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 248/QD-TTg dated March 26, 2024 to complete the National Steering Committee on ODA and preferential loans (Steering Committee).
Accordingly, the Head of the Steering Committee is Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang. The Deputy Head of the Steering Committee is Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung.
Members of the Steering Committee include: Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Quoc Phuong; Deputy Head of the Government Office Do Ngoc Huynh; Deputy Minister of Finance Vo Thanh Hung; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang; Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Hoang Trung; Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Danh Huy; Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van; Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Quy Kien; Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang; Deputy Minister of Health Le Duc Luan; Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong; Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Pham Quang Dung; Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan; Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong.
The above Decision takes effect from March 26, 2024 and replaces Decision No. 98/QD-BCDODA dated June 16, 2016 of the Prime Minister on members of the National Steering Committee on ODA and preferential loans.
* The National Steering Committee on ODA and preferential loans has been established by the Prime Minister with the task of researching and proposing to the Prime Minister policies and orientations to attract, manage and effectively use ODA capital and preferential loans from donors.
In addition, assist the Prime Minister in directing and coordinating inter-sectoral activities in resolving important, inter-sectoral issues in the process of preparing and implementing programs and projects using ODA capital and preferential loans such as: Managing and coordinating flexibly to promptly resolve or assist the Prime Minister in directing and resolving bottlenecks beyond the authority of ministries, branches and localities arising in the process of organizing, managing and implementing programs and projects using ODA capital and preferential loans...
The Steering Committee also helps the Prime Minister urge ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies and localities to implement important, inter-sectoral issues in attracting, managing and using ODA capital and preferential loans from donors.
