2 members say goodbye to VFF Referee Board

According to VTC News, Mr. Truong Quoc Dung is the next person to leave the VFF Referee Board before the 2024/25 season ends. However, Mr. Dung wants to quit his job for family reasons, not because of any disciplinary action or wrongdoing.

This black-shirted king is very prestigious in the futsal refereeing community. Mr. Truong Quoc Dung became a FIFA-level futsal referee in 2009. The referee, born in 1982, was honored to officiate twice at the Futsal World Cups in 2016 and 2024. Mr. Truong Quoc Dung's expertise has been affirmed over many years.

Thus, the VFF Arbitration Board has only 3 members including Head of the Board Dang Thanh Ha and 2 members Vo Minh Tri and Hoang Anh Tuan.

In the VFF Executive Committee meeting on the afternoon of March 27, Mr. Vo Quang Vinh - Deputy Head of the Referee Board was dismissed due to serious violations.

VFF clearly identified the reason for disciplining Mr. Vo Quang Vinh as a violation during the physical examination of female FIFA referees including Ms. Tran Thi Thanh, Le Thi Ly and Bui Thi Thu Trang.

Instead of organizing the test as required (running 40 meters at speed 6 times), Mr. Vinh only let the referee run 40 meters at speed 4 times. This action is considered a serious violation in the work of checking and managing referees, affecting the reputation of VFF.

The VFF Executive Committee proposed transferring Mr. Vinh's case to the Disciplinary Board to consider the necessary disciplinary level in the coming time.

According to the opinions of the Executive Committee members, the selection of replacements for Mr. Dung’s position as Member and Mr. Vinh’s Deputy Head should be carried out seriously and carefully. The candidates should have good professional qualifications, a clean background and not be involved in any negative scandals in the past.

The professional boards of the Vietnam Football Federation will directly research, propose candidates and wait for the Executive Committee to approve.
