Thanks to that, the district has 3/21 communes meeting new rural standards; 99% of households have access to electricity; the poverty rate has decreased by 4-5% annually. National defense and security have been maintained, and political and social stability has contributed to the completion of socio-economic development goals in the district.

Particularly for the National Target Program 1719, from 2021 to 2024, the district was granted nearly 477 billion VND to implement 10/10 component projects. Along with investing in infrastructure for production and daily life, the district has implemented 198 projects to support production development according to the value chain, contributing to creating sustainable livelihoods for beneficiaries, thereby expanding to the entire district.

With many flexible approaches, ethnic policies implemented in the province have truly come into life, thereby contributing to bringing the province's average income per capita to 46.98 million VND/person in 2024, exceeding the target of the National Target Program 1719 implemented in the province.

Like Ha Quang and Bao Lam districts, other border districts of Cao Bang province have been making remarkable changes in socio-economic development; contributing to creating a new look for ethnic minority and mountainous areas and border areas of Cao Bang province.
