In mid-2021, seeing that salt-cured chicken was popular and being sold by many people on social media platforms, Ms. Thuong bought it to try. "I bought it 3 times, the first 2 times were not delicious, and the third time was okay but the price was too high compared to the market," Ms. Thuong said. From there, Ms. Thuong came up with the idea of ​​making salt-cured chicken that was both high quality and reasonably priced. So she started to learn about this dish. During a conversation with a friend from her hometown who was working as a chef in Taiwan, Ms. Thuong was enthusiastically instructed on how to make it. However, after following it, she felt that it was not suitable for Vietnamese taste, so she continued to research and change the recipe. As a result, after 6 months, Ms. Thuong was successful with the salt-cured chicken product. In February 2022, the first Kyodo fresh chicken store was opened in Vinh City, Nghe An Province. Ms. Thuong shared: "I tried nearly 40 different recipes to produce a successful product. I still remember the time I had to throw away 700 chickens because the preservation method was not standard. That time I lost more than 115 million VND". Not discouraged, Ms. Thuong diligently researched the appropriate preservation method. "I also failed a lot but never intended to give up. After each mistake, I will learn from my experience to perfect the product in the best way", she said. According to Ms. Thuong, to create a finished product with a delicious, natural flavor, the ingredients are one of the most important factors, besides the unique recipe. To have the best product, she chooses chickens raised for 10 - 12 months on Vietnamese farms, prioritizing those weighing 1.8 - 2 kg/chicken. Spices are used in combination with each other such as turmeric, lemon leaves, salt... to create a crispy, firm product.

Sell ​​700 - 800 products per day

Up to now, Ms. Thuong has more than 80 branches nationwide, covering the product brand to more than 30 provinces and cities: "Every day I can sell from 700 to 800 salted chicken products. There are about 150 employees working at the factory and the dealer system. After deducting all expenses, on average I earn more than 300 million VND per month." According to Ms. Thuong, starting a business must come from passion, effort and determination, and at the same time need to be combined with learning and applying technology. "If I only work with passion, it will take a long time to reach consumers. It is thanks to modern technology, social networking platforms, e-commerce platforms, etc. that new products can quickly "touch" customers. Good products are an important factor for success, but there must also be support tools to develop faster. Instead of a word-of-mouth brand that can take 5-10 years for customers to know and choose, thanks to support methods, I can shorten this time to only 1-2 years," she said. Receiving support and positive reception from customers is the motivation for Ms. Thuong to try to improve product quality. "I am developing an 80-hectare farm to be able to proactively source raw materials for production. In the near future, I will not only try to open more branches domestically but also want to promote exports to international markets," Ms. Thuong confided. Ms. Thuong brought her salt-cured chicken product to participate in the contest "Searching for innovative startup talents in Nghe An expanded in 2023" and the contest "Green startup project" in 2023. At the end of 2022, her factory received the certificate "Top 10 famous national brands - trademarks" issued by the Institute of Development Issues. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tu, Secretary of the Youth Union of Nghia Trung commune, commented: "Thuong is a young person who tries very hard, is sharp, proactive in finding her own way and has achieved the successes she has today. She knows how to build a quality, reputable brand and ensure food hygiene and safety... For the locality, Thuong is always an example of daring to think and dare to do for us to promote and introduce to union members and young people. Besides, Thuong also cares a lot about her hometown. Recently, she donated a playground for local children and has also cherished other shares on the occasion of Tet".
