Launching the Program "Winter Volunteer and Spring Volunteer 2024"

This morning, January 8, in A Bung commune, Dakrong district, the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) of Quang Tri province organized the launching ceremony of "Year of Youth Volunteers" and launched the program "Winter Volunteer 2023 and Spring Volunteer 2024" with many meaningful activities.

This program is an annual activity of all levels of the Youth Union, demonstrating the pioneering and voluntary role of youth towards the grassroots, thereby contributing to the successful implementation of the province's socio-economic development goals.

This is an activity in a series of programs aimed at welcoming the congresses of the Vietnam Youth Union at all levels, towards the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Tri province, term 2024 - 2029.

At the program, the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union coordinated with charitable units and organizations to carry out a series of volunteer activities to accompany the people and youth in A Bung commune, including: starting the construction of a gratitude house for the family of Mr. Ho Voi, a revolutionary contributor with difficult circumstances in La Hot village; giving 100 gifts to people with especially difficult circumstances.

Presented 250 national flags to build a flag route; organized medical examinations and provided free medicine to more than 200 people; visited and gave gifts to village elder Ho Prao in Pire 1 village; gave free haircuts and organized a buffet party for 120 students of A Bung Kindergarten. The total value of the program was more than 200 million VND.

Through the program, we aim to accompany and share some of the difficulties of people in remote areas, ethnic minority areas, contributing to bringing a warm winter and a Tet full of love to students and people in the area.

Ms. Ho Thi Thuong, in A Luong village, A Bung commune, excitedly shared: “As a poor family, I often get sick, so I cannot afford to go for health check-ups. Today, I am very happy because I not only received gifts from the program but also got a free medical examination and medicine.”
