Construction of Long Khanh City's Ring Road 1 starts, costing over 1,300 billion

Long Khanh City's Ring Road 1 will surround the urban area, with both starting and ending points connecting to National Highway 1.


On December 21, in Dong Nai province, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Long Khanh City Ring Road 1 project took place. The route is about 4.5km long, with a 14m wide road surface, and is one of the key projects of Dong Nai province and Long Khanh city.

According to Mr. Phan Trung Hung Ha, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Department of Planning and Investment, the project has a total investment of about 1,316 billion VND, with Long Khanh City People's Committee as the investor. The project is expected to be constructed within 1 year and completed by the end of 2025.

When completed, Ring Road 1 will reduce traffic pressure on National Highway 1, complete the synchronous traffic system, and create new development space. The route is expected to effectively exploit land use potential, promote investment attraction, expand urbanization and socio-economic development for Long Khanh city.

The contractor has ready vehicles and equipment to start construction immediately after the groundbreaking ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tang Quoc Lap, Vice Chairman of Long Khanh City People's Committee, said that the locality has recently prioritized investment in developing many routes, forming a synchronous urban transport system. Ring Road 1 not only contributes to realizing the Master Plan for Long Khanh City construction to 2040 and vision to 2050, but is also a driving force to promote the urbanization process, creating a highlight for the city.

The project has a starting point at the intersection with National Highway 1 (at Km1.823+870 right at Suoi Tre gas station), and an ending point at the intersection with National Highway 1 (at Km1.818+600). Including a 45m roadbed, of which the road surface is 14m, sidewalks on each side are 6m, and the central tree strip is 19m. The rainwater and wastewater drainage systems are arranged independently by culverts along both sides of the route.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam, Deputy Director of Dong Bac Construction and Engineering Company Limited (contractor) said that he will mobilize machinery and equipment to focus on quick construction and complete the project as planned. At the same time, he also hopes that the local authorities will support in site clearance to facilitate the construction process.
