(NLDO) - The music night "Musician Viet Anh: Back home, back to nature" - taking place on the evening of November 23 at Flower Island (Dong Nai) left many impressions and emotions with the audience.
Viet Anh music nights are not rare and music lovers are even more familiar with his songs when they are performed by veteran singers, most notably Thu Phuong.
But this time it was different. The Vietnamese-English love songs were performed by young singers, including one whose voice was not yet widely known to the audience, like Tuan Dung.
Even the old songs from "Airport Rain", "No More Autumn" to "Lost River", "Flowers Have Gold There", "Dreams of the Night on the Street", "Love I Sing"...
to new songs like "Say You Love Me", "Wait for Me", "At the End of the Pine Trees"... and "just released" songs like "If You Call It a Dream", "Finding You in Endless Sad Years"... the audience can recognize Viet Anh's mark just by closing their eyes.
His compositions are always beautiful with a lingering sense of loneliness. When Viet Anh plays music, the audience must exclaim, "Sadness is so beautiful."
Le Hieu duet with Thuy Chi
Therefore, at all Viet Anh music nights and this time is no exception, the audience does not expect much from the staging. Just a beautiful voice singing beautiful love songs, everything becomes complete and full.
The audience found that in the music night "Musician Viet Anh: go home, go to nature". Although the music night was without Thu Phuong - an icon associated with Viet Anh's music, the audience was somewhat satisfied with Phuong Vu's singing style, the voices of Le Hieu, Thuy Chi and the freshness of Tuan Dung.
As Viet Anh shared, "Every voice has its own beauty and when my songs are conveyed in many different ways, for Viet Anh, it is an exciting fortune."
The audience also felt that the new songs were "tailored" for each singer. Each new song is a story, a separate emotion, showing the musician's understanding and connection with each special voice in the music night.
Le Hieu - Thuy Chi and Phuong Vu
Among them, "If you call it a dream" sung by Phuong Vu brings many emotions. The song is lyrical and full of narrative, with lyrics that seem to tell an unfinished love story, both haunting and dreamy.
This is a song composed by Viet Anh specifically for Phuong Vu's voice, making the most of the depth and emotional nuances in her voice. On stage, amidst the soft lighting of the music night, each of Phuong Vu's lyrics seemed to touch the hearts of the listeners, making the audience sob.
Musician Viet Anh expressed: "For a long time, I have wanted to have a music night performed in the vast space, immersed in nature, the sky and earth, and fortunately, my close friends and I have made this dream come true and fortunately it has been well received by the audience."
True to the name of the music night, the audience present at the show were "home", where there is not only love between couples, about identity but also healing emotions in the middle of vast nature.
As a familiar face in Viet Anh's music, Thuy Chi continues to bring a gentle lyrical space through songs written by the musician specifically for famous movies.
In particular, during the music night, she performed a completely new version of "Dem ngam mo pho". Thuy Chi performed this song in a very emotional way, as if she was whispering her own story. Le Hieu is still a prince of love songs with maturity in each verse.
