Inauguration of the road connecting National Highway 19 to Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park

(BD) - On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Binh Dinh province (March 31, 1975 - March 31, 2025), on the afternoon of March 27, at Nhon Tan commune, An Nhon town, the Provincial People's Committee held the inauguration ceremony of the connecting road from National Highway 19 to Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park, Urban Area and Service.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Kim Toan, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan; along with comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of departments, branches, localities and a large number of people.

The route connecting National Highway 19 to Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park, Urban Area and Services has a total length of 19.445 km, a 12 m wide roadbed, an 11 m wide asphalt concrete road surface with 2 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for rudimentary vehicles. The project has a total investment of more than 1,170 billion VND, of which the central budget supports 800 billion VND, the rest from the local budget. The project includes 7 prestressed reinforced concrete bridges, drainage, traffic safety and lighting systems.

The project started in August 2023 and was completed after 19 months of construction, 5 months ahead of schedule. The opening of the route helps shorten the distance from National Highway 19 to the center of Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park from 31.5 km to 16.5 km.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized: The inauguration ceremony of the project is not only an occasion to mark the completion of a modern transport project, but also a vivid symbol of the achievements of 50 years of reconstruction and development of Binh Dinh homeland after liberation. This project is not only important for the development of Binh Dinh province but also plays a strategic role in connecting regions, creating momentum for socio-economic development for the South Central and Central Highlands regions. The completion of this route demonstrates the determination of the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Dinh province in implementing key infrastructure projects, contributing to promoting investment attraction and improving the competitiveness of the locality.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung suggested that Binh Dinh province continue to effectively exploit the route, promote investment attraction in Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park, and focus on developing industries and logistics services to maximize the advantage of connecting with Quy Nhon Port and the Central Highlands provinces.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang affirmed: This route not only meets the needs of travel and freight transport but also creates momentum to promote socio-economic development. The success of the project demonstrates the determination of authorities at all levels, the close coordination between relevant units and the consensus of the people in the project area. The completion of this route opens up great opportunities in attracting investment, developing industry, trade and services, contributing to improving people's lives. In the coming time, the province will continue to implement important transport infrastructure projects to create momentum for sustainable development.
