Urgently issue a Decree regulating land rent reduction in 2024

The National Assembly Standing Committee agreed with the Government to issue a Decree regulating the reduction of land rent in 2024.

Accordingly, the National Assembly Standing Committee agreed with the Government to issue a Decree regulating the reduction of land rent in 2024 for the subjects as stated in Submission No. 122/TTr-CP dated February 25, 2025 of the Government.

The Government shall promptly issue a Decree regulating the reduction of land rent in 2024 to ensure timeliness; direct the handling of difficulties and problems in the collection, payment, and refund of land rent or late payment of land rent in 2024 (if any); take responsibility for the proposed content, accuracy of information, reported data, and the necessity of developing and promulgating the Government's Decree regulating the reduction of land rent in 2024 in accordance with the provisions of law.

On the morning of March 11, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on the reduction of land rent in 2024 and the issuance of a Government Decree regulating the reduction of land rent in 2024.

Presenting the Report at the Meeting, Deputy Minister of Finance Bui Van Khang said that in order to continue to remove difficulties and support production and business activities in 2024, on February 12, 2025, based on the results of collecting opinions from Government members, the Government issued Resolution No. 31/NQ-CP on submitting to the National Assembly Standing Committee for comments on reducing land rent in 2024 and issuing a Government Decree regulating the reduction of land rent in 2024.

Accordingly, the Government submitted to the National Assembly Standing Committee for approval to reduce land rent in 2024 (according to the reduction of 30% of land rent payable in 2024) so ​​that the Government can issue a Decree regulating the reduction of land rent in 2024 according to its authority.

At the Session, with 100% of the members of the National Assembly Standing Committee present in agreement, the National Assembly Standing Committee agreed that the Government should issue a Decree detailing the reduction of land rent in 2024 under its authority.
