The 2025 Land of Ancestors Book Festival with the theme "Books - Accompanying and honoring the cultural values ​​of the Land of Ancestors" not only creates favorable conditions and environment for reading, promoting the reading movement in families, schools, agencies, organizations and people of Phu Tho province, but also contributes to educating the tradition of patriotism, deep gratitude to the Hung Kings and ancestors who have contributed to building and defending the country; at the same time, propagating and promoting the cultural heritages and tourism of Phu Tho province.
The 2025 Land of Ancestors Book Fair takes place from March 28 to April 6, 2025 (opening on March 30, 2025) at Phu Tho Provincial Library - Tran Phu Street, Gia Cam Ward, Viet Tri City. The Book Fair is chaired by the Provincial Library (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism), in coordination with the Provincial Military Command, Hung Vuong University and publishing enterprises. With more than 1,000 books and newspapers, a total of over 4,000 copies on display and introduced, the 2025 Land of Ancestors Book Fair is an attractive destination for Phu Tho people and tourists, especially book lovers. This is also the opening cultural event for a series of activities to celebrate Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day - April 21.
The 2025 Land of Ancestors Book Festival is organized in many diverse and rich forms, combining traditional elements with modern activities, contributing to arousing love for the homeland and country, educating the traditional morality of "When drinking water, remember its source".
Readers and visitors to the Book Fair will be able to participate in and experience the activities of displaying documents and introducing books and newspapers; exchanging and introducing “Good books every day” with the theme “Proud of a strip of mountains and rivers”; exchanging and drawing “Friendly reading corner”; donating books to build community bookcases. In particular, the display of old book and newspaper stalls; picture and photo stalls; calligraphy corner and organizing folk games will create a colorful space of traditional Northern culture.
