As a pioneer recycling unit in Vietnam, Duy Tan impressed visitors at the Green Vietnam Festival when sharing its journey of "changing the lives of plastic bottles".
Accordingly, instead of being thrown away, floating in the ocean or buried in the ground for hundreds of years without decomposing, creating giant landfills, plastic bottles are collected and crushed into recycled plastic granules.
Recycled plastic pellets are used to produce a variety of products, from bottles for lubricants and cosmetics to products that meet food safety standards such as soft drink and mineral water bottles...
In addition, recycled plastic granules are also used to make useful household products. Accordingly, each plastic bottle after being crushed into plastic granules can create 2 recycled pens, contributing significantly to the effort to reduce daily plastic waste.

Mr. Le Anh, director of sustainable development at Duy Tan Recycling, shared that many consumers still do not fully understand recycled products, and do not know that products can meet the highest standards, even for food packaging.
Mr. Le Anh hopes that through the festival, people will better classify waste at source and support recycled products, thereby giving plastic bottles a chance to "live" a new life cycle, reducing waste in the environment, and promoting a circular economy.
According to Mr. Le Anh, Duy Tan Recycling currently collects and recycles about 180 tons of plastic per day, equivalent to 14 million plastic bottles. If these bottles were stacked together, the distance would be up to 850km.
Plastic recycling plays an important role in environmental protection, because if not treated, this amount of plastic will occupy a large area in the ground, causing serious harm to the ecosystem.
Mr. Le Anh believes that the Green Vietnam Festival will create a foundation for a network of businesses working towards sustainability goals, building a greener, cleaner and more environmentally responsible Vietnam.
