Raising awareness, promoting people to practice green living, aiming for sustainable development are the goals of the program organized by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (VACNE) in coordination with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Education and Training, the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment and Van Lang University.
Green future for the planet, for a green Vietnam
The message of green living, green production, ecosystem protection, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development is what "Green Journey" in the program "For the national green environment" aims for.
Not only stopping at raising awareness about environmental protection, but also taking action, encouraging people to use environmentally friendly products, recycle waste, fight against plastic waste...
Mr. Vu Van Thuy - Head of the Southern Office (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) - said that many movements to prevent and combat plastic waste launched by the program have gradually raised public awareness about the harmful effects of plastic products and single-use plastic bags on the environment, ecosystems and human health.
At the same time, it contributes to encouraging the production of environmentally friendly products, replacing traditional plastic products, which are deployed synchronously throughout the country, for a green Vietnam. "I believe that in the global green race, Vietnam is a pioneer in green transformation. It is an inevitable choice and this program is contributing to making the country green," said Mr. Thuy.
Everyone has a duty to help the country become green.
Sharing at the event, Associate Professor Dr. Phung Chi Sy - Vice President of VACNE - hopes that this program will be increasingly spread throughout the country, thereby creating a catalyst for the whole society to join hands in building Vietnam to be greener, cleaner and more beautiful.
As a media ambassador inspiring the green environment to the community, Miss World Environment 2023 Nguyen Thanh Ha calls on students and every citizen to become ambassadors for green and healthy living, increasing activities connected with nature. Everyone can join in the call to protect the Earth, the harmonious and sustainable relationship between humans and nature.
The event "For the national green environment" 2024 attracted a large number of participants. Activities included: showcasing environmentally friendly collections; launching a tree planting campaign, planting and donating 1,000 trees to 20 schools in Binh Thanh district.

In which, students are encouraged to practice a green and healthy lifestyle, contributing to the fight against climate change.
Million trees for national environment
For the national green environment is a program implemented to respond to environmental activities launched by the Government. Thereby, conveying the messages of the green campaign to the community, promoting the circular economy.
The program hopes to encourage the community to join hands for a green Vietnam, develop the carbon credit market. Especially to jointly implement the goal of zero net emissions according to the Government's commitment at COP26.
At the event, the campaign "Million trees for the national environment" was officially launched, calling on everyone to contribute to the project "Planting 1 billion trees" called for by the Government. Responding to the campaign, VACNE said it would plant 1,000 trees in Binh Thanh district and will expand to schools in Ho Chi Minh City.
