On the afternoon of January 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association held the opening ceremony of the exhibitions “Towards the Beloved Central Region” and “Phu Yen Land and People”. The exhibition is an opportunity to display the achievements of members participating in the 2023 creative camp.
Implementing plan No. 265/KH-HOPA dated December 1, 2022 on organizing a Creative Camp for members of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association, in 2023, the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association organized a creative camp Towards the beloved Central region, Phu Yen Land and People. After participating in the creative camp, the Organizing Committee received 437 works from 51 members attending the camp.
After selecting 85 works for the exhibition, the final report was released, and what is even more special is that the Organizing Committee selected 15 excellent works from 15 members attending the camp to award equal prizes: Thich Nu Hue Van, Dinh Ba Phu, Dinh Ngoc Trung, Dzung Nguyen, Hoang Bich Nhung, Vuong Thi Kim Hai, Kha Thanh Tri Dat, Le Hoang Nhan, Ngo Tien Thinh, Hoang Truong, Pho Thi Thanh Hang, Thach Minh Le, Kieu Anh Dung, Tran Ngoc Dung, Vu Xuan Thao .
Commenting on the achievements of the 2023 camp, Colonel Doan Hoai Trung - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association said: " This year's creative camp can be considered a breakthrough because it was a long trip, going through 3 provinces. This trip brought a lot of emotions, especially the brothers and sisters participating in the camp also responded to participate in the Ho Chi Minh Square contest and excellently brought home awards.
The biggest success is that the creative camp is organized closely with the locality and contributes to promoting local tourism. In the near future, the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association plans to organize more meaningful camps like this to give photographers and photographers the opportunity to penetrate into life, industry, agriculture, etc., thereby recording many valuable and meaningful works that represent the face of a dynamic - integrated - developing Ho Chi Minh City ." Mr. Trung said.
On the same occasion, at the ceremony, certificates of merit were awarded to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in building and developing Ho Chi Minh City's literature and arts, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Literature and Arts Associations on December 17, 2023, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Union's founding (1963-2023).
The Photography Association and 15 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Union for their outstanding achievements in building and developing the City's literature and arts.
