After the launching ceremony of the Tet tree planting event "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" this morning, February 2 in Tuyen Quang, the Central Youth Union supported union members to plant 20 hectares of forest. 31 provincial and municipal unions across the country participated in this special Tet holiday.
Planting 2 hectares of forest, handing over the Livelihood Tree Garden model
At the Tan Trao National Special Relic Site, Son Duong District, union members and youths planted more than 2 hectares of forest including lim xet, cho chi and some other fruit trees.
On this occasion, the Central Youth Union also supported "Livelihood Garden" for households in Minh Thanh commune (Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang).
Speaking at the ceremony to respond to the Tree Planting Festival and launch the emulation movement to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels, Mr. Bui Quang Huy, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union, suggested that union members and young people nationwide, with all their pure feelings, start from small but practical, meaningful things that are useful to the community, the homeland and the country to contribute to creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere in the Youth Union chapters at all levels.
According to Mr. Huy, the Youth Union officials and members continue to promote their role by actively contributing ideas to draft documents for Party Congresses at all levels. Focus on the contents that are strengths of the youth such as startups, innovation, and digital transformation.
“The suggestions need to be taken seriously and invested in quality, increasing the intellectual content of young people in the contributions, especially focusing on the strengths of young people such as digital transformation, innovative startups...”, Mr. Huy said.
5 specific targets with projects to welcome Party Congresses at all levels
The Central Youth Union sets 5 targets for the Youth Union at all levels to implement, including: 100% of Youth Union bases conduct propaganda before, during and after Party congresses at all levels. 100% of Youth Union members are Party members participating in giving comments on Party congress documents at all levels. Deploy a volunteer campaign to support the completion of 2,000km of highways.
Implement 67 provincial youth projects and 1,377 district youth projects. Each commune, ward, and town union has at least 1 project or part of youth work and the target is to introduce at least 200,000 outstanding party members for the Party to consider admission.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, requested that the emulation results must be realized through specific works and tasks, with clear products and practical significance.
"These could be bridges, roads, libraries, classrooms, or scientific research topics, creative start-up projects, modern and effective production models led by young people," said Mr. Chien.
The emulation movement also needs to aim at fostering the youth's trust and attachment to the Party, and promoting responsibility to themselves, their families and society.
On this occasion, the Central Youth Union supported 15 youth houses affected by Typhoon Yagi, 1 Happy House, supported the construction of community sports fields, red scarf houses, youth gardens, and rural roads. Supported 13 billion VND from the loan capital of the National Employment Fund of the Central Youth Union. The total resources deployed in this emulation campaign amounted to more than 21 billion VND.
