Opening of the 8th Phu Dong Sports Festival of Gio Linh district

The 8th Phu Dong Sports Festival of Gio Linh district took place from February 24 to March 11, 2024; gathering 861 athletes from 22 high schools in the district, competing in 7 sports, including: athletics, swimming, shuttlecock kicking, table tennis, pole pushing, volleyball, and soccer.

The Phu Dong Sports Festival is organized this time to continue promoting the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", regularly practicing and competing in sports among high school students to improve health, develop physical fitness, and contribute to comprehensive education for students.

This is also an opportunity to evaluate the physical education and sports activities in schools in the district in the past time, from which, there are solutions to overcome difficulties, problems, promote the achieved results to develop the school sports movement and create many useful playgrounds for students; promptly detect, select and nurture talented students in sports into Gio Linh district sports teams to participate in the 7th Quang Tri Province Phu Dong Sports Festival - 2024.
