Opening of Vietnam - China Friendship Football Tournament

The 2025 Vietnam-China Cross-Border Friendship Football Tournament is co-organized by the People's Government of Dongxing City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China and the People's Committee of Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam.

Strengthening sports exchanges between border districts and cities of Guangxi, China and Vietnam.

This is a joint move to implement the consensus spirit on "expanding the scope of participation in the Dongxing - Mong Cai Lunar New Year Friendly Football Tournament" in the 2025 Spring Meeting between the Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committees of four border provinces of Vietnam and Guangxi Province, China, to further expand the results of activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - China diplomatic relations and the Year of Vietnam - China People's Exchange.

At the tournament, 8 border football teams from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China and 8 football teams from Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam participated together, enhancing sports exchanges between border districts and cities of Guangxi, China and Vietnam, enhancing friendship, promoting cooperation in many fields such as culture, economy, promoting the harmonious development of the Vietnam - China border area, contributing to building a community of shared destiny of Vietnam - China with strategic significance.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee will award First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize and Individual Prizes to the Best Player, Top Scorer, Best Coach, Excellent Referee and Style Prize.
