Implementing the direction of Comrade Quan Minh Cuong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation at the recent survey of construction works in the city, the People's Committee coordinated with the Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Bang city to hold a meeting to discuss and develop a plan to organize a campaign to launch a general cleaning campaign and improve the environmental landscape on both banks of the Bang River.

Accordingly, the campaign to clean up and improve the landscape on both sides of the Bang River will mobilize about 550 people from the military, associations and the People's Committees of 5 wards of Hop Giang, Song Hien, Song Bang, Ngoc Xuan and Tan Giang, to carry out a general cleaning from Gia Cung bridge to Hoang Nga bridge. Focus on cleaning the flow environment; checking and repairing, cleaning the drainage system along both sides of the river, the drainage system flowing into the river; collecting and treating waste; planting additional trees suitable for the ecological characteristics and urban space; installing lighting systems, renovating riverside landscape highlights to increase aesthetics and serve community activities.

During the campaign, we will combine propaganda to raise public awareness; launch movements such as "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday", "Garbage-free route"... associated with protecting the Bang River. Encourage people, agencies, and existing houses to maintain the habit of keeping clean, not littering the river, and join hands to build a green - clean - beautiful urban area. In particular, synchronously and effectively implement the province's policy on improving the environment of the Bang River, associated with the Dam Project, serving the development of services and tourism on the river.
