DNVN - The "Digital IC Design Training Program" is part of the Project "Developing Human Resources for the Semiconductor Industry to 2030, with a Vision to 2050". The program aims to train human resources and promote the semiconductor industry.
On the morning of February 17, the National Innovation Center (NIC) - Ministry of Planning and Investment, Dolphin Technology Vietnam Center Co., Ltd., Cadence Group and Hanoi University of Science and Technology jointly organized the Opening Ceremony of the "Digital IC Design Training Program". This is a meaningful event, marking an important step forward in building and developing high-quality human resources for Vietnam's semiconductor industry.
The "Digital IC Design Training Program" is part of the implementation of the Project "Human resource development for the semiconductor industry to 2030, with a vision to 2050".
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Vu Quoc Huy - Director of NIC Center said that NIC continues to coordinate with corporations, technology enterprises and universities to promote the implementation of programs to connect and promote training to improve the quality of human resources. At the same time, he expressed his confidence that Vietnam's goal of training 50,000 engineers and bachelors for the semiconductor industry, including 15,000 engineers for the design stage, will soon be achieved and meet the demand for semiconductor human resources at home and abroad by 2030.
Mr. Vu Quoc Huy - Director of NIC Center expressed his confidence in Vietnam's goal of training 50 thousand engineers and bachelors for the semiconductor industry.
“This training course is an important first step to meet the urgent needs of the market. The course is designed to provide students with basic knowledge of microchip design, practical skills and creative thinking necessary to work in this field,” said Mr. Huy.
According to Mr. Le Hai Anh - Director of Dolphin Technology Vietnam Company, currently, the demand for microchip design in Vietnam is increasing strongly, but the quality human resources in this field are still limited. Therefore, the development of specialized training programs on microchip design is a key factor for Vietnam's semiconductor microchip industry to grow strongly in the region and the world.
The benefits of the course go beyond providing theoretical knowledge, and also provide students with access to the most advanced digital IC design technologies and tools in the industry. Students will be equipped with practical skills from writing design descriptions to testing and optimizing digital ICs.
“With Vietnam's strong investment in the field of semiconductor design, manufacturing and testing, the demand for human resources will increase sharply in the coming years, especially the goal of building a team of 50,000 microchip engineers by 2030.
This is a wide range of career opportunities for students attending the Digital IC Design Training Program. From joining international corporations, to developing careers in domestic IC design companies, or even starting a business with innovations in semiconductor technology,” said Mr. Hai Anh.
