According to a report from ZDNet Kore, Samsung has officially started mass production of semiconductor chips on the fourth-generation 4nm process, marking an important step forward in semiconductor technology.
The new version of the 4nm process node also features high-speed transistors and supports next-generation packaging technologies such as 2.5D and 3D. The new process will be used to produce AI chips for Elon Musk's AI company Grok and South Korean fab-free AI semiconductor company HyperExcel.
Mass production of fourth-generation 4nm chips shows that Samsung has made great strides in optimizing the manufacturing process, improving productivity and product quality.
In the past, Samsung used to be a fierce competitor with TSMC in the race to develop and produce advanced semiconductor chips. However, in recent years, TSMC has risen, widening the gap with Samsung.
Given this situation, Samsung is placing high expectations on the 4th generation 4nm chip manufacturing process. What Samsung needs to do is ensure that the new chip manufacturing process goes smoothly and achieves the expected performance.
