Tourists flock to Ba Vi to see the sea of clouds and the sunrise 'as cool as Da Lat'. Video: Hai Duong
Last weekend, hundreds of tourists came to Ba Vi National Park - the "green lung" in the west of Hanoi capital to hunt for the sea of floating clouds that appear at dawn.
Unlike the city center, from the previous evening until about 9am the next day, the temperature here is very cool, even chilly, the air is fresh, likened to Ta Xua (Son La) or Da Lat (Lam Dong).
From April to October every year, Ba Vi becomes an ideal “hot escape” for tourists. In recent days, the sea of white clouds has continuously appeared, creating a beautiful, poetic and romantic scene.

On the morning of July 14, Mr. Vuong Loc (Thanh Xuan, Hanoi), a photography enthusiast, left at 3am to get to Ba Vi National Park to watch the sunrise.
“I left at 3am and arrived at the gate of Ba Vi National Park at 5am. At that time, many young people were already there, lining up to buy tickets. At 5:30am, a sea of clouds began to appear near the 1,100-meter mark,” said Loc.
“In comparison, the clouds in Ta Xua are thicker and more fluffy. However, Ba Vi has the advantage of moving quickly and conveniently. In the morning, the air in Ba Vi is cool and pleasant, completely different from the hot feeling in the city center. Coming here, I feel like I am in Da Lat,” said Mr. Loc.
Ba Vi National Park, Hanoi is about 60km from the city center. Visitors can drive towards Thang Long Avenue or via Highway 32. If traveling by bus, choose bus 74 My Dinh - Xuan Khanh and route 71 My Dinh - Son Tay Bus Station, at the last stop, transfer to bus 110 to Ba Vi National Park.

Hai Duong (Ung Hoa, Hanoi) has been to Ba Vi National Park four times, but the morning of July 14 was the first time Duong witnessed the sea of clouds appear. Duong left at 3am to arrive in time for dawn.
“The weather in the morning was beautiful, cool and the sea of white clouds created an ideal setting for tourists to sightsee and take photos. Unfortunately, there was a light rain near noon so our group could not stay longer to enjoy,” Duong said.

According to the experience of tourists who have successfully “hunted clouds in Ba Vi”, the sea of clouds often appears if it rained the day before and the weather forecast for that day is sunny. Luck is also very important.
In the national park, there are tourist attractions such as the ancient abandoned church, covered with mysterious moss, or the cactus greenhouse. Visitors can also visit Khoang Xanh - Suoi Tien, Ao Vua, Thien Son - Suoi Nga. Khoang Xanh has many primeval forests and over 2km of natural streams such as Mo waterfall, Hoa waterfall, Tran waterfall, Mam Xoi waterfall, etc.
Currently, accommodation services in Ba Vi are quite developed, from budget to luxury. Tourists can camp in the pine forest or rent resorts such as Melia Bavi Mountain Retreat, Tan Da Spa Resort, Bavi Annam Garden, Madela Ba Vi - House by the stream...
