(Dan Tri) - Thousands of tourists flock to Ba Vi National Park, causing traffic jams at the gate area and locations for cloud hunting and wild sunflower viewing.
At 5am on November 17, the gate of Ba Vi National Park (Hanoi) was packed with tourists flocking to see wild sunflowers and hunt for clouds on the weekend. Many people stood "stuck" for quite a while before they could buy a ticket.
Traffic jam, crowded from dawn
Starting at 4am, after an hour of traveling, Minh Loan and her husband (living in Quoc Oai, Hanoi) arrived at the main gate. This was the first time in 5 years of going to see wild sunflowers that this girl witnessed such a large number of visitors.

At dawn, Minh Loan saw thousands of tourists sitting on motorbikes, standing in a long line in front of the ticket booth. The only road leading to the National Park gate was jammed. The sound of motorbike engines and the murmur of conversation made the couple feel tired.
"After an hour of waiting, my husband and I were able to buy tickets. Besides the reason that today is the weekend, people are worried that the flowers will wither soon and there will be no more chance to see them, so they rush out to play, leading to traffic jams," Minh Loan shared.
Tickets in hand, Minh Loan and her husband inched their way along the winding road to hunt for clouds. The couple set off early, but hundreds of other tourists were already crowding the areas where wild sunflowers were in full bloom, making their weekend experience less than desirable.

At the beautiful cloud hunting areas, people and vehicles are congested, making it difficult to choose a good spot to enjoy the view. After struggling for nearly 30 minutes, trying very hard to find a corner to hunt clouds, Minh Loan felt satisfied because she had taken some beautiful photos.
"My husband and I decided to return earlier than planned due to the large number of visitors. I have never been so tired after seeing wild sunflowers. On the way down, I saw a large crowd of people coming up again. If you want to leisurely enjoy the scenery, you should go on a weekday to avoid the crowds," Minh Loan shared.
At 6:30 a.m., Ms. Pham Thu Ha (in Hoang Mai) and her family traveled to Ba Vi National Park with the desire to see the beautiful little flowers blooming on the hillsides.
However, when they arrived about 500m from the gate, her family encountered a traffic jam because there were too many visitors, many cars and motorbikes had to move little by little.
"Among the large number of tourists coming here, there are many young men not wearing helmets, riding at high speed. With such a large number of visitors, even when we got there, we still couldn't take good photos. Many people on motorbikes speeding along the road after passing the ticket gate were quite dangerous, so I decided to go home," said Ms. Ha.
After escaping the crowd, the woman's family had to move to a nearby campsite so the whole family could have fun together.
At 7am, Ngoc Anh (living in Thach That, Hanoi) found a place to park her motorbike, but she could not escape the "sea of people" waiting to buy tickets.
Ngoc Anh stood a short distance from the ticket counter, and the girl stood almost still. Ngoc Anh estimated that she would have to wait at least an hour to get inside.
After buying tickets, many people had to face the stream of motorbikes inching their way to the best flower viewing spots. From afar, hundreds of young people’s vehicles continued to converge on the main gate.
"Seeing the crowd, I decided to go back because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to squeeze in to see the scenery and take pictures. My motorbike was parked in the parking lot, and I couldn't get out even if I wanted to go back, so I had to stand there and wait to buy a ticket," Ngoc Anh said.
At 9am, the flow of vehicles and tourists to Ba Vi National Park was still very crowded (Photo: Character provided).
According to images shared on social media, as of 9:30 a.m. on November 17, the number of tourists flocking to see wild sunflowers was still very large. The line of vehicles was packed tightly, inching along the road leading to Ba Vi National Park.
Speaking to Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Do Huu The, Director of Ba Vi National Park, said that until nearly 10am, traffic police and officials of the National Park were still on duty to direct traffic. The high number of visitors on weekends caused local congestion on residential roads near the entrance gate.
"The flowers and beautiful weather attract tourists from all over. On average, during this time, Ba Vi National Park welcomes 5,000 to 7,000 visitors per day," said Mr. The.
To overcome traffic insecurity, Ba Vi National Park regularly posts articles on its website, fanpage, Zalo, and broadcasts propaganda to visitors. On peak days, officers of this agency coordinate with functional forces to regulate traffic and handle violations.
Tips for viewing wild sunflowers in Ba Vi National Park
Mr. Trong (living in Ba Vi, Hanoi) - a photographer with many years of experience - said that during the blooming season of wild sunflowers, weekends are often crowded with tourists, especially young people. This year, the road leading to Ba Vi National Park has been expanded, making it easier for tourists to visit.

"The large number of visitors and motorbikes coming early in the morning causes congestion at the ticket gate. If you have time, you can choose to go on a weekday, where there is more space and no need to jostle.
In case you choose to go on the weekend, you can come at noon. Even though you can't hunt for clouds, it's less crowded and there are many angles to take pictures with flowers," said Mr. Trong .
This year, wild sunflowers in Ba Vi National Park are most beautiful from November 2 to November 24 (Photo: Trong Tuan Nui).
According to this man's experience, following the winding road to an altitude of more than 1,000m, there are many places where wild sunflowers bloom and are the most beautiful. Girls who want to capture beautiful images should choose white, yellow, orange clothes... avoid choosing green dresses and shirts that easily blend in with the leaves and do not stand out.
