This is Juventus' third consecutive winless match and their second consecutive defeat. On January 28, they were held to a 1-1 draw by Empoli and then lost 0-1 to rivals Inter in the Italian derby on February 5. Their poor form has left Max Allegri's team at a disadvantage in the Serie A title race. They have 53 points after 24 matches, seven points behind Inter, having played one more match.
