According to a report from TC Group, Hyundai's official distributor in Vietnam, the company's total sales in September 2024 reached 6,518 vehicles. This is an impressive number, helping Hyundai continue to maintain its second position in the list of best-selling car brands in Vietnam.
Among the best-selling car lines, Hyundai Accent continues to be the company's flagship model, recording sales of 1,290 vehicles, an increase of 37.7% compared to August. This sedan model not only meets customers' needs for comfort, but also affirms its leading position in the small car segment in Vietnam.
Coming in second place is the Hyundai Creta urban SUV with sales of 1,068 vehicles, an impressive growth of 74.2%. This shows the strong appeal of this vehicle line thanks to its modern design, flexible operation and reasonable price.
Accent continues to be the model with the highest sales with 1,290 vehicles, a growth of 37.7%
Hyundai Santa Fe, a 7-seat SUV that launched its new generation on September 18, also contributed significantly to the company's growth. With 758 vehicles sold, Santa Fe recorded a growth of 48.3% compared to the previous month, affirming the appeal of this high-end vehicle in the SUV segment.
Not only the main car lines, other models in Hyundai's product portfolio also achieved significant sales in September. In particular, the small car Hyundai Grand i10, although gradually losing its appeal in the market, still reached 561 cars sold, an increase of 81% compared to August. This is the highest growth rate in Hyundai's car portfolio in Vietnam this month.
In addition, models such as Hyundai Tucson with 495 units sold, up 16.5%, Hyundai Venue with 482 units, up 62.3%, and Hyundai Stargazer with 433 units, up 14.9% also recorded positive growth. The mid-size MPV Hyundai Custin also achieved sales of 302 units, up 39.2%. Hyundai Elantra and Hyundai Palisade also contributed to the overall success with growth rates of 35.6% and 59.8%, respectively.
Tucson ranked 5th with sales of 495 vehicles, up 16.5%
Since the beginning of 2024, Hyundai has sold a total of 40,907 vehicles in Vietnam, including passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Of which, Accent continues to lead with 8,200 vehicles sold and Creta is second with 5,181 vehicles.
With Hyundai’s domestically assembled vehicle portfolio benefiting from the government’s preferential policy of 50% registration fee, the final months of the year promise to be a time for the company to continue to grow strongly. This is considered a great advantage to help Hyundai maintain and consolidate its position in the fiercely competitive automobile market in Vietnam.
