Up to now, there have been 3 tourist destinations recognized by the Provincial People's Committee, namely: Pa Khom Bay tourist destination, Pha Mu commune; Tham Phe village tourist destination, Muong Kim commune; Nam village tourist destination, Cung village, Ta Gia commune.

It is estimated that the total number of tourists coming to Than Uyen from the beginning of 2024 to now will reach more than 314 thousand, an increase of 26.5% over the same period in 2023. This number is considered quite modest compared to Than Uyen's tourism potential.

At the 2024 Than Uyen District Tourism Development Connection Conference held on November 28, Mr. Lo Van Huong - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council requested the District People's Committee, relevant departments, communes, towns, and tourist spots to build more tours departing from Than Uyen town connecting to other spots. At tourist spots, it is necessary to build introductory content, with tourism products associated with culture.

It is known that, implementing Resolution 59 of the Provincial People's Council, Than Uyen district as well as other localities in the province have been actively directing localities and businesses in the area to promote the development and completion of eco-tourism products associated with promoting the value of natural landscapes, scenic spots and agricultural products, and traditional festivals.

At the same time, we strengthen the preservation and promotion of folk cultural values. At the end of September 2024, the Department of Culture and Information of Than Uyen district opened a class to teach Thai ethnic writing. Students were introduced to the alphabet, taught how to read, write, transcribe, tones, Thai ethnic writing, etc. Thereby contributing to the preservation and maintenance of the beauty of Thai ethnic writing.

On the other hand, Than Uyen district directed 100% of schools to organize a common activity during break time with cultural activities and folk games of ethnic groups for students; organize a performance of ethnic costumes on the walking street on the occasion of September 2 and New Year...

As expected, in the coming time, Than Uyen district will continue to effectively exploit unique tourism products such as Pa Khom Bay "The Blue Pearl of the Northwest", "Discovering Tham Phe Fishing Village - Pa Khom Bay", Than Uyen pine hill "miniature Da Lat"... This is also an effective channel to promote the traditional cultural values of local ethnic minorities.

The district's major orientation is to continue to maintain and effectively exploit annual activities to preserve and promote traditional cultural values associated with community tourism development.
