An Minh District (Kien Giang) meets new rural standards

An Minh district, Kien Giang province, meets new rural standards.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Kien Giang province to be responsible for announcing and rewarding according to regulations; directed the People's Committee of An Minh district to continue maintaining and improving the quality of criteria, focusing on economic and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in new rural construction.

* Thoroughly grasping the meaning and importance of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for agriculture, farmers, and rural areas in socio-economic development in the area, the District Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of An Minh District, Kien Giang Province have synchronously deployed tasks and solutions for new rural construction; focused on promoting propaganda and dissemination of Central and Provincial directives on the Program to all cadres, party members and people.

As of June 2024, the entire district has 10/10 communes meeting new rural standards, of which 03 communes (Dong Thanh, Dong Hung and Van Khanh Dong) meet advanced new rural standards and the 11th town meets civilized urban standards.

By the end of 2024, An Minh district will have 5 communes meeting advanced new rural standards, exceeding 150% of the resolution set by the 10th Party Congress of the district.
