On September 12, the leader of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center said that all festival programs and events scheduled to be held during the Mid-Autumn Festival (September 16-19) have been postponed to share the pain, loss, and hardship of the people in the North caused by the storm and flood.

Programs: Hue International Lantern Festival 2024, street lantern procession, "Linh Phung" Ao Dai festival and "Autumn for you" art program will be postponed until further notice.
Previously, Hue planned to organize a series of unique and attractive activities mentioned above, contributing to diversifying the experience of tourists and enriching the cultural and spiritual life of local people. These are community-oriented activities, with no entrance fee.
The series of activities is part of the Hue Autumn Festival and is the highlight of the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival, including: Hue International Lantern Festival 2024, Street Lantern Procession, "Linh Phung" Ao Dai Festival and the art program "Autumn for You".
As planned, the Hue International Lantern Festival 2024 is expected to open at 7:30 p.m. on September 16 at Thieu Phuong Garden (Hue Imperial City). Visitors and people visiting and experiencing will enter Hue Imperial City from Hoa Binh Gate (Dang Thai Than Street, Hue City).
The program includes royal court dance performances and court games. Especially, there is a space to display and arrange lanterns of the same culture countries, including Vietnam, Japan, Korea and China (taking place from September 16-19, 2024). Vietnamese lanterns include lanterns by artisan Trinh Bach, traditional lanterns by artisan Dang Hoang, lanterns made from Bao La rattan and bamboo, bamboo lanterns, and CAN Studio folding lanterns.
Traditional lanterns from various countries include artisans from Gifu Prefecture (Japan), artisans from the Royal Crafts and Cultural Association (Korea), and artisans from Sichuan (China).
The Street Lantern Festival is scheduled to take place at 8:00 p.m. on September 17 with the participation of units participating in the Hue International Lantern Festival 2024 from 4 countries.
The traditional lantern procession will take place on the following routes: Ngo Mon Gate - Square - August 23 Street - Le Huan Street - Chuong Duc Gate.
The festival will showcase the beauty of traditional colors through costumes and lanterns, creating a joyful atmosphere for the Hue Autumn Festival 2024.
The "Linh Phung" Ao Dai Festival will take place at 7:30 p.m. on September 18 at Hien Nhon Gate Stage. The program is a series of vivid stories about the legend of the phoenix associated with Hue Ao Dai expressed through the language of fashion, music, dance combined with other art forms.
The art program "Autumn for you" will take place at 8:00 p.m. on September 19 at Hien Nhon Gate stage. The program is produced by Hue Royal Traditional Arts Theater, Hue Monuments Conservation Center with the participation of musician Tran Tien and Du Ca music group.
