LaLiga expands youth training in Vietnam

(PLVN) - LaLiga representative said that they will promote cooperation in developing youth football and training coaches in Vietnam.

Today (April 15), at the VFF headquarters, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan - President of VFF had a meeting and discussion with Mr. Ivan Codina - Chief Representative of LaLiga in Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand. Also attending was Mr. Pablo Casaos - Representative of LaLiga in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Mr. Ivan Codina shared plans to continue effectively implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote cooperation with VFF (signed on September 6, 2023 and effective until June 2026). Laliga representatives hope to expand the youth football training system in Vietnam, following the success of the LaLiga Vietnam Football Academy in Ho Chi Minh City.

LaLiga wants to push ahead with plans to establish one or two more academies in the northern region, in order to increase access to high-quality football for young talents.

In addition, the two sides have initially agreed on cooperation directions until 2026. The focus includes developing youth football, improving coaching quality, organizing training and practice programs for coaches working at professional football clubs in Vietnam.
