On the afternoon of August 23, Tuoi Tre newspaper and the Board of Directors of the Quang Nam - Da Nang "Supporting Schoolchildren" Club held a meeting to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Club's founding in Phu Nhuan district, Ho Chi Minh City.
Journalist Nguyen Khac Cuong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper, expressed his gratitude for the valuable support of the Quang Nam - Da Nang "Support to School" Club with new students in difficult circumstances.

Sharing at the meeting, journalist Nguyen Khac Cuong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper, said that in addition to scholarships, the Club also adopts, supports living expenses, transportation, jobs, etc. for new students. Tuoi Tre Newspaper is very happy and grateful for the Club's companionship in the journey to support students to go to school.
"The numbers related to scholarships, funding, and the Club can be clearly and specifically counted, but the feelings and sharing of the Club members and Quang people across the country are indescribable" - Mr. Cuong shared.
Looking back on the 20-year journey, Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, said that the Club was established in 2005, starting with 42 scholarships worth 126 million VND (each scholarship worth 3 million VND). Through Tuoi Tre newspaper, the Club has so far had 20 seasons accompanying disadvantaged new students from the hometown.
"In 2005, the amount of 3 million VND for a scholarship was huge for us, and for new students it was a fortune. Up to now, the scholarships have been increased, some up to 50 million VND" - Mr. Tuan said.

According to Mr. Tuan, the Quang Nam - Da Nang "Support to School" Club is a gathering place for children far from home, friends who love their homeland Quang Nam - Da Nang and wish to return to support and accompany young people in difficult circumstances in their hometown.
This year, the Club plans to award 100 scholarships to new students from the homeland with a total cost of more than 1.5 billion VND (each scholarship is 15 million VND, the special scholarship is 50 million VND).
