More than 200 athletes participate in the Kbang District Senior Sports Festival | Gia Lai Electronic Newspaper

(GLO)- On May 25 and 26, the Kbang District Elderly Association (Gia Lai Province) coordinated with the District Culture, Information and Sports Center to organize the 2023 Elderly Sports Festival.

The Sports Festival had 206 athletes from 13/14 Elderly Associations of communes and towns in the district; competing in 5 sports. Of which: 6 teams of volleyball; 42 athletes from 11 teams of crossbow shooting; 30 athletes from 10 teams of chess; 10 athletes from 2 teams of badminton and 74 athletes from 5 teams of aerobics.

The sports festival is an opportunity for the Elderly Association at all levels in the district to evaluate the quality of the grassroots sports movement; continue to promote the implementation of the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho"; encourage and motivate the elderly to participate in physical exercise, improve health, prevent and fight diseases; help members live happily, healthily and live long. At the same time, practically make achievements to celebrate the 82nd anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Elderly in Vietnam (June 6, 1941 - June 6, 2023) and the 75th anniversary of Uncle Ho's call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2023).
