According to the Organizing Committee of the State Funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on July 25, 1,565 delegations (with about 55,600 people), representing leaders of the Party, State, ministries, sectors, organizations, localities, units, people's armed forces, diplomatic delegations, representatives of international organizations and friends, and compatriots came to pay their respects, send wreaths, and express condolences to the family of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, at the National Funeral House - No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong (Hanoi), Thong Nhat Hall (Ho Chi Minh City) and General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's hometown, Lai Da village, Dong Hoi commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi.
In deep emotion and grief, from early morning, delegations of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government, Vietnam Fatherland Front, ministries, departments, branches, cadres, soldiers of the armed forces and a large number of people from the capital and many provinces and cities across the country gathered at the National Funeral Home - No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong (Hanoi) to attend the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong - the leader who had many great and especially outstanding contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
At the National Funeral Home, with the sad music "Soul of the Martyr" playing in the background, at exactly 7:00 a.m. on July 25, the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was solemnly held.

During nearly 60 years of service, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong made many great and outstanding contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. He was awarded the Gold Star Order, the 55-year Party membership badge, and many other noble Vietnamese and international orders and medals by the Party and the State. His passing is a great loss to the Party, the State, our people and his family.
The funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on July 25 and from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on July 26.
The funeral service for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will be held at 1:00 p.m. on July 26 at the National Funeral Home, 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi.
Funeral at 3:00 p.m. the same day at Mai Dich Cemetery, Hanoi.
