Understanding Marketing

To know if Marketing is a sales job, we first need to understand what Marketing is and the origin of this industry.

When commodity production was born and developed, exchange also developed. In the process of exchange, there were two main conflicts, which were the conflict between the seller and the buyer and between the sellers themselves.

To survive and develop, businesses have come up with many solutions to boost sales such as allowing customers to return products, respecting customers, understanding customers' wishes to meet them, and having gift policies that follow their needs.

At present, many experts believe that Marketing is the process of creating values from customers and close relationships with customers with the aim of gaining benefits for businesses and organizations from the values that have been created.

Since then, the concept of Marketing as the image of a salesperson carrying products to sell, promote images, and market products no longer exists. Instead, Marketing includes all activities directed towards customers to satisfy their needs and desires.

The ultimate goal of the Marketing industry is to build and develop brands, creating a bridge to strengthen the connection between businesses and customers.
