Regulations on the management of science and technology tasks are increasingly perfected in the direction of promoting publicity and transparency right from the stage of defining tasks to the end of the research process. Policies to support technological and equipment innovation for enterprises producing advantageous products of the province are issued promptly to encourage and support enterprises of Binh Thuan province in innovating increasingly modern technology and equipment, increasing the scientific and technical content of products and goods, improving product quality, ensuring domestic and foreign competition. The Intellectual Property Development Program, the Productivity and Quality Improvement Program of Enterprises in Binh Thuan Province are specified in the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council and the Plan of the Provincial People's Committee.

The field of agriculture and rural development is the field with the largest proportion of research and application in the fields of research, application and innovation. Currently, 2 science and technology enterprises have been established in the province (Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Company Limited and Viet Nhat BIO Technology Company Limited).

The policy of supporting technological and equipment innovation for enterprises producing advantage products of Binh Thuan province has been implemented promptly, encouraging and supporting enterprises producing advantage products of Binh Thuan province in innovating increasingly modern technology and equipment, increasing the scientific and technical content of products and goods, improving product quality, ensuring domestic and foreign competition. Up to now, 06 enterprises have been supported with loan interest rates for investment in technological and equipment innovation (Kim Long Fishmeal Processing Company Limited, Hai Nam Company Limited, Vinh Hao Salt Joint Stock Company and Hai Phong Viet Joint Stock Company). The province's intellectual property development program through each stage has brought about very practical results, organizations, enterprises and business households have paid attention to trademark registration, industrial property registration with hundreds of applications every year. The protection of enterprise trademarks, especially geographical indications for local specialty products such as Phan Thiet fish sauce and Binh Thuan dragon fruit, is maintained and the product consumption market is expanded. Most localities have identified local specialty products and focused on supporting brand building, thereby improving productivity, quality, creating value and competitiveness of products and enterprises such as: Tanh Linh rice, Cho Lau rice paper, Binh Thanh bird chili, Tuy Phong trom hat, Tra Tan - Duc Linh vegetables, Tan Thuan salt, Thang Hai golden rice boat longan, Tan Phuc sugar grapefruit, Tanh Linh sliced catfish... Support Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association to register the trademark "Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit, image" in 13 countries: UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, USA and Singapore. Support Phan Thiet Fish Sauce Association to register for trademark protection "PHAN THIET FISH SAUCE - FISHSAUCE & image" in the following countries: United States, Thailand and Cambodia. And on October 7, 2021, Binh Thuan dragon fruit was granted geographical indication by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan with registration number 110. This is the second geographical indication out of 3 geographical indications of the Project and the second geographical indication of Vietnam after Luc Ngan litchi protected in Japan.
