In the previous match, U22 Uzbekistan lost to U22 Korea, and U22 Vietnam only needs to beat U22 China to win the CFA Team China 2025 friendly tournament. Coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team have 2 points after 2 draws while U22 China has a greater advantage with 4 points and is playing at home.

Entering the match, the U22 Vietnam players started the game better. Viktor Le and his teammates played calmly under the pressure of the home team and had many notable attacks. After many tit-for-tat moves, U22 Vietnam was the team to take the lead.

In the 31st minute of the match, Viktor Le caused chaos in the U22 China defense with a breakthrough dribble before passing to Quoc Viet. The No. 9 striker of U22 Vietnam swung his leg very quickly to finish dangerously, defeating the U22 China goalkeeper.

In the second half, U22 China pushed up their formation to attack while U22 Vietnam retreated to preserve their advantage. Unfortunately, while the game was going well, in the 71st minute, Hong Phuc fouled a U22 China player in the penalty area. Captain Afrden Asqer made no mistake in scoring the equalizer for U22 China.

Surprisingly, 2 minutes later, U22 China was down to 10 players. Yixuan Zhang tackled Thanh Nhan from behind. Before that, this player had received a yellow card and was sent off after the second yellow card.

Despite having one more player in the remaining matches, U22 Vietnam could not score any more goals and had to accept a 1-1 draw. U22 China was the champion while U22 Vietnam only finished in 3rd place and had an unbeaten record with 3 draws in the tournament.
