Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee hopes that young people will always have "green knowledge and red heart"

This is an official forum for city leaders to directly listen to the thoughts, aspirations and suggestions of the youth force.

At the conference, city youth delegates proposed models, solutions, and advice to the leaders of the City People's Committee in building and developing the city.

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade’s Youth Union Nguyen Han Dung proposed creating a more favorable environment for business development and promoting startups. The city needs to have more practical support policies, especially for technology startups and the digital economy.

According to Mr. Nguyen Han Dung, improving the legal environment, simplifying administrative procedures, supporting access to capital and connecting to markets will help young people start businesses more easily and promote the development of new businesses.

Youth delegates also proposed a number of solutions to innovate public health care activities and build smart healthcare.

Dr. Tran Phuong Thuy, Interdisciplinary Department, Le Van Viet Hospital (Outstanding Young Physician of 2025) said that the city deploys electronic health record management platforms, connecting data between hospitals to support faster diagnosis and treatment. At the same time, medical facilities expand the application of AI in imaging diagnosis, supporting diagnosis and optimizing treatment regimens at the grassroots level.

Commenting on the policy of building a two-level local government, Phong Phu Commune Youth Union Secretary Nguyen Thi Thuy An said that streamlining and rearranging the local government administrative apparatus to only two levels (provincial and grassroots levels); the arrangement and merger of commune-level administrative units are of great interest to many union members and youth.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy An, in order for young people to feel secure in their work, the city needs to have effective and practical policies to support young people in changing careers or adapting to the new working environment after streamlining, ensuring that streamlining the payroll does not reduce the effectiveness of current policies to support young people and develop young human resources.

At the dialogue, many youth delegates also proposed issues related to youth projects and tasks in building and developing Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day; solutions and proposals to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TU of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; State policies in building and developing high-quality young human resources, policies to attract and create cadres from excellent graduates, young scientists, developing young talents and future leaders of the city, etc.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc emphasized that the city has abundant, high-quality human resources, a strong team of experts, businesses and intellectuals. This is a very special resource.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc said that the city is prioritizing green and digital development strategies, with public investment leading private investment, especially in the fields of transportation, big data, AI, innovation and semiconductors. The city's leaders want to listen to the dreams, ambitions, recommendations and thoughts of young people, so that they can have appropriate policies to support the younger generation to better fulfill their obligations to the city.

Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc called on the city's youth union members to always be proactive and advance in studying, working, and producing, preparing themselves with "green knowledge, red heart", contributing to building the city named after Uncle Ho.

The head of the city government emphasized that the city's leaders are ready to join hands, accompany and support young people to realize their dreams and ambitions, thereby contributing to the development of a civilized, modern and humane Ho Chi Minh City.
