The beauty crowned Miss Cosmo 2024 received more than 2.5 billion VND

After Miss Charm, Miss Cosmo is the second international beauty pageant organized by Vietnamese people with the participation of representatives from more than 70 countries and territories around the world. Recently, the press conference to launch Miss Cosmo 2024 took place in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting the attention of the beauty-loving community when the representative of the Organizing Committee (OC) shared about this beauty pageant.

Mr. Tran Viet Bao Hoang - Head of the Miss Cosmo Organizing Committee said that the special point of the contest is that it will only select 1 Miss and 1 Runner-up. This means that more than 70 contestants participating in the "race" of Miss Cosmo 2024 will have to compete fiercely to reach the Top 2 finals. Previously, the Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2023 contest also only selected the Top 2 including: Miss Bui Thi Xuan Hanh and 1st Runner-up Hoang Thi Nhung.

Explaining the difference of Miss Cosmo 2024, the Head of the Miss Cosmo Organizing Committee said: "In an environment where there are more and more titles and each contest awards more and more titles, we want to create value for the titles rather than quantity. We focus on accompanying the girls during their term to ensure that both Miss and Runner-up have a place and realize their ambitions."

According to the Miss Cosmo Organizing Committee, the beauty crowned Miss Cosmo 2024 will receive more than 2.5 billion VND along with a year of using an apartment, car, etc. In addition to the Miss and Runner-up titles, the contest's Organizing Committee will award 6 secondary awards such as: Influential Beauty; Female Leadership Spirit; Beauty Icon; Tourism Promotion Ambassador; Best National Costume Design and Best Evening Gown Design.

Referring to the noise surrounding the name of the Miss Cosmo contest, the Head of the Miss Cosmo Organizing Committee also affirmed that there was no copying or plagiarism of the name and content of any contest. "We have prepared very carefully for the brand and story of Miss Cosmo over the years. Attracting the participation of more than 70 countries and territories shows the prestige and appeal of the contest globally," Mr. Bao Hoang emphasized.

The representative of the Miss Cosmo Organizing Committee expressed his hope that the beauty contest organized by Vietnam can enter the Top 3 in the Big 6 system (Top 6 largest beauty pageants in the world - PV) within the next 5 years.

"First of all, we want to be in the Top 1 position in the hearts of the fans. Once we achieve this position, I'm sure other positions will come. Each competition ranking system has a different way of evaluating. We respect this decision. If we were to say a specific position that we set a goal for ourselves, I would like to reach the Top 3 position within the next 5 years.

Currently, Miss Cosmo has received the trust and support of national directors around the world. Miss Cosmo 2024 is also the first year the contest is held, so we do not focus on copyright costs. We also hope that the copyright holders of the contest will see the value that the contest brings and have long-term cooperation strategies," said the Head of the Miss Cosmo Organizing Committee.

Taking on the new role as National Director of Miss Cosmo Vietnam, Miss Ngoc Chau will accompany Miss Xuan Hanh on her journey to conquer the Miss Cosmo 2024 crown. "With the experience I have, Xuan Hanh and I will have the best preparation for her to come to Miss Cosmo 2024", Miss Ngoc Chau shared.

It is known that Miss Cosmo 2024 will take place in mid-September 2024 with the theme Vivid Vietnam - Vibrant Vietnam through many festival-like activities, combined with fashion, heritage and cultural exchanges at famous tourist destinations in Vietnam such as: Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Lam Dong, Long An, Ho Chi Minh City... The contest not only contributes to promoting the image, country, people and tourism of Vietnam but also honors the culture and pride of national identity of each participating country.

According to the contest organizers, the semi-finals and finals of Miss Cosmo 2024 are expected to take place in October 2024 at Phu Tho Stadium (HCMC).
