Infrastructure improvement promotes socio-economic development

In the 2021-2025 period, the provincial budget capital for investment in completing the technical infrastructure system in Quang Ninh is more than 63,000 billion VND, evenly distributed to all sectors and fields. In the field of transportation, in the 2021-2025 period, the province mobilizes investment resources to complete, put into operation and use about 825km of roads, including 80.2km of expressways, 14km of national highways, 50km of provincial roads, 681km of district roads and commune roads, creating a synchronous, modern and interconnected transportation system, promoting inter-regional and intra-regional economic development and expanding the development space of localities.

A series of traffic projects completed in the period of 2021-2025 include: Ha Long - Van Don - Mong Cai Expressway, Binh Minh Bridge, Tinh Yeu Bridge, Ha Long - Cam Pha coastal route, Trieu Bridge, Ben Rung Bridge and access roads, Provincial Road 342 through Ba Che District... The projects not only promptly solve the problem of ensuring smooth traffic safety, but also create new development space, promote socio-economic development where the project passes through and link the development between highland areas with urban areas, dynamic areas, helping to unlock development resources for low-lying areas.

Typically, the project to upgrade and renovate provincial road 342 passing through Ba Che district, connecting with Lang Son province, is a project of special significance, becoming a new driving force for the province's mountainous areas, contributing significantly to the goal of promoting regional connectivity - one of the top priority tasks being promoted by Quang Ninh in the current period. From there, forming an economic connection chain, expanding the organization of development space, creating new conditions for economic development, improving income and quality of life of the people.

Mr. Do Manh Hung, Chairman of Ba Che District People's Committee, said: The completed route creates a connecting space between the low-lying areas, dynamic areas, and development areas of Ha Long City, Ba Che District and Lang Son Province; meeting travel needs, creating favorable conditions for people to trade goods. At the same time, it increases investment attraction, promotes effective and sustainable socio-economic development, opens up new opportunities to build Ba Che into a center for sustainable forestry and medicinal economic development associated with tourism, a modern rural service system, approaching the quality of urban areas.

Quang La Secondary and High School (Ha Long City) has been newly invested in and built in a spacious manner.

Currently, facing the trend of international economic integration and the new era of development, Quang Ninh continues to invest in completing many key projects and traffic works, such as the coastal route connecting Ha Long - Hai Phong expressway to Dong Trieu city; provincial road 342 through Ha Long city; the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 279 and is continuing to research many new routes and ports in the provincial planning.

Not only the transportation system has been invested in synchronously and modernly, but the province has also focused on the technical infrastructure of the health and education sectors. The health infrastructure has been invested in synchronously from the provincial to the communal level. Currently, the whole province has 177 commune and ward health stations with synchronous investment in medical equipment systems, serving primary medical examination and treatment; 16 district-level medical units and many provincial hospitals. In particular, in the period of 2020-2025, the province invested in and put into use the Geriatric - Rehabilitation Hospital, Lung Hospital and Provincial Center for Disease Control to serve well the examination, treatment and health care for the people.

The technical infrastructure projects that have been invested in, put into operation and exploited have contributed to Quang Ninh always achieving an economic growth rate of over 2 digits every year and the people have fully enjoyed many benefits from the technical infrastructure, improving and enhancing their lives and income.
