Support and promote collective economic development

DNO - On the afternoon of October 15, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong attended a working session between the delegation of the National Steering Committee on Collective Economy and the Steering Committee for Collective Economy Development of Da Nang City.

The report at the conference said that as of June 30, 2024, there were 158 cooperatives and 3 cooperative unions operating in the city with 9,580 members; the total number of regular employees in cooperatives was 15,096.

Total revenue in 2023 is 400 billion VND, an average increase of 12%/year; in the first 6 months of the year, revenue reached 240 billion VND. Through assessment, over 60% of cooperatives in the city are operating effectively.

Many cooperatives focus on digital transformation, applying information technology to cooperative operations, contributing to improving labor productivity and the ability to access product consumption markets, such as Hoa Tien 1 General Production and Business Service Cooperative (Hoa Tien commune, Hoa Vang district); Da Nang Automobile and Tourist Vehicle Support Service Cooperative (An Hai Tay ward, Son Tra district); An Khe Bamboo and Rattan Cooperative (An Khe ward, Thanh Khe district) ...

The city, departments, branches, sectors and localities have implemented many programs and activities to support and promote the development of collective economy and cooperatives, focusing on policies related to taxes and fees; policies to support trade promotion, market expansion, technological innovation; support the consolidation of collective economic organizations and cooperatives; and interest rate support for organizations borrowing capital to invest in socio-economic development projects.

It is estimated that from 2023 to June 2024, more than 350 cooperatives will participate in the program, with an estimated support budget of VND 17.69 billion.
