Meanwhile, player Suphanat Muenta said: "When we were leading 6-0 or 7-0, I always wanted to score more goals. Unfortunately, I missed a few chances so I couldn't complete my hat-trick."

In the next match in Group A of the 2024 AFF Cup, the Thai team will return home to meet the Malaysian team at 8:00 p.m. on December 14 at Rajamangala Stadium. The Malaysian team will previously meet the Timor Leste team at Bukit Jalil Stadium (8:00 p.m.) on December 11. On the same day, the Singapore team will meet Cambodia at 6:00 p.m. (both Vietnam time).
