According to information from the current V-League champion, they have not yet officially signed a contract with coach Gong Oh Kyun. However, CAHN has almost reached an agreement on a 2-year contract with the Korean strategist.
Coach Gong Oh Kyun will fly back to Korea tonight (October 31). He will return to Hanoi three days later to complete the paperwork. The Korean coach is expected to make his debut in the away match against Hai Phong on December 4, after the end of the FIFA Days in November.
Coach Gong Oh Kyon was the one who led the Vietnam U23 team at the final round of the U23 Asian Cup last year. At that tournament, the Vietnam U23 team was in the same group with Korea, Thailand and Malaysia.

As a result, coach Gong Oh Kyun's team won a ticket to the quarter-finals, after drawing 2-2 with Thailand, drawing 1-1 with South Korea and beating Malaysia 2-0.
In the quarter-finals, the Vietnam U23 team only lost 0-2 to the very strong Saudi Arabia U23 team. Saudi Arabia later won the Asian U23 championship last year.
After the U23 Asian Cup, many fans wanted coach Gong Oh Kyun to continue leading the Vietnam U23 team. However, unfortunately, the Korean coach failed to reach an agreement with the VFF.
If the negotiation process with CAHN Club goes smoothly, coach Gong Oh Kyun will likely lead the reigning V-League champion team in the next rounds.
The current head coach of CAHN Club is Coach Tran Tien Dai. Mr. Dai is one of the best experts in Vietnamese football, having won the National Cup in 2012 with Saigon Xuan Thanh Club, and won the V-League 2023 with CAHN.
In addition to his professional work, Mr. Dai is also good at management. Mr. Dai can step back to give the "main stage" to Coach Gong Oh Kyun.
After the first two rounds of the 2023/2024 V-League season, CAHN is undefeated. The reigning V-League champions had a draw with Quy Nhon Binh Dinh Club (1-1) and a win against Hoang Anh Gia Lai (3-0).
