The deal was struck amid Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov’s visit to New Delhi from November 11-12, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries, the Indian Defence Production Enterprise (DPSU) said. Hyderabad-based BDL, established in 1970, manufactures guided missile systems and defence equipment for the Indian Army.
Meanwhile, Rosoboronexport, the sole representative of the Russian government in the import and export of defense products, military technology and services, is also an active participant in Moscow's international military-technical cooperation policy.
The Pantsir air defense system is a multi-purpose platform capable of protecting military facilities and critical infrastructure from air threats, while strengthening the defense capabilities of air defense units.
