The heroic spirit of the Ly Dynasty is re-enacted at the 2025 Do Temple Festival

The festival opened on April 11, attracting thousands of local and foreign tourists.

One of the typical activities of the Festival, to commemorate the merits and revive the glorious history of the Ly Dynasty emperors, is the event where the People's Committee of Tu Son City organizes the 1015th anniversary of the coronation of King Ly Thai To - Ly Cong Uan (March 15, Canh Tuat 1010 - March 15, At Ty 2025), and at the same time receives the Certificate of ranking Dinh Bang Communal House as a Special National Monument; National Monument of the Memorial House of Comrade Le Quang Dao; and the National Treasure of the Golden Seal "Hoang De Chi Bao" of the Nam Hong Royal Museum.

Regarding traditional rituals, on April 11, 2025 (March 14, At Ty year), the procession from Do Temple - Dragon Temple to Ung Tam Pagoda (Dan Pagoda) will take place; on April 12, 2025 (March 15, At Ty year), the procession of Mother Goddess from Ung Tam Pagoda to Do Temple and the ceremony of announcing the capital transfer by King Ly Thai To will take place.

Within the framework of the festival, the Organizing Committee will carry out many activities of historical significance such as displaying images of "Dinh Bang - the birthplace of the Ly Dynasty and spiritual tourism journey"; images of Tu Son and documents related to the prosperous Ly Dynasty; displaying and soliciting public opinions on 10 logos representing Tu Son city; displaying and auctioning antiques at the Nam Hong Royal Museum; and exhibiting ornamental plants.

In addition, many cultural, sports and artistic activities took place such as the National Team Tennis Championship for the Ly Dynasty Cup - Bac Ninh 2025; lantern festival; display of images of Tu Son city, Do Temple and Dinh Bang communal house; exhibition fair of OCOP products, fine art wooden furniture, and precious stones in the Northern region; opening performance of Ca Tru singing, Dong Ngu water puppetry; Quan Ho singing on Dragon boat; performance of the Military Band; folk games; special art programs and fireworks display to celebrate the festival.

Tourists from all over flock to see the festival.

This year's Do Temple Festival is also an opportunity to promote cuisine and tourism with 100 booths featuring Bac Ninh's characteristics and a number of localities participating in displaying and introducing products.

The festival also marks the opening of the Tu Son City walking street; Ca Tru singing performances, Dong Ngu water puppetry; the organization of the Den Do Open Pickleball Tournament; sports such as traditional wrestling, chess, tom diem, table tennis, volleyball, badminton and folk games; Phu The cake wrapping contest, clay pot rice cooking contest...

On the opening day of the festival, thousands of local and foreign tourists flocked to attend. The Dinh Bang Ward Police and Bac Ninh Provincial Police deployed forces to ensure festival safety, preventing congestion or insecurity.
