On March 2, Cuu Long University coordinated with the Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Ho Chi Minh City, the Youth Union of Vinh Long Provincial Police and hundreds of doctors and nurses to provide free medical examinations and medicine to more than 3,500 people including the elderly, the disabled, orphans, workers, students and people in difficult circumstances in Vinh Long province.
Participating in these meaningful activities were more than 200 doctors, dentists, pharmacists, and medical specialists working at hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City such as Cho Ray, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and Dentistry...
In addition, Cuu Long University also sent more than 200 health students to organize consultations, examinations, and treatment of general internal medicine, dentistry, jaws, and face diseases; eye examinations, refraction measurements, vision measurements, making and distributing free glasses for people with eye diseases; musculoskeletal examinations and treatments... At the same time, free medicine was distributed based on the results of the medical team's prescriptions.

Those who came to the medical examination this time also received gifts, free meals and drinks from the organizers with a total support fund of more than 250 million VND. Ms. Truong Thi Thu Huong (56 years old, living in Ward 1, Vinh Long City) said that this was the first time she went to the free medical examination at Cuu Long University.
"I thank the school for its thoughtful arrangements, welcoming us from the gate, and enthusiastic guidance. The team of doctors are very friendly. Not only do they provide free medical examinations, but they also give gifts to people who come to see a doctor," she said.
Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu - President of Cuu Long University - said that this is a large-scale charity program, organized for the third consecutive year at the school. The program aims to share the difficulties of the poor, orphans and disabled people, as well as create conditions for people to access medical services, raise awareness of taking care of their own health and their families. At the same time, this event creates conditions for students majoring in health to have the opportunity to experience and practice their majors.
