TPO - Most restaurants and eateries in shopping malls in Ho Chi Minh City are packed with customers during Tet, especially from noon to evening. The stalls do not charge extra fees or increase prices, so the crowds of diners coming to eat, drink, and have fun are always crowded and bustling.
At noon on February 12 (the third day of Tet), many food stalls and self-service booths at large shopping malls such as Aeon, Van Hanh Mall, Emart... were bustling with customers coming in for lunch. According to the reporter's observations, the prices of dishes at the shopping malls remained the same as usual, such as sushi at 10,000 VND/piece, salmon sashimi at 55,000 - 60,000 VND/box, vermicelli with spring rolls, grilled pork vermicelli from 35,000 VND/box. In addition, pho and beef vermicelli cost from 55,000 VND/portion...
"Today, not many shopping malls have reopened, so the shopping malls that are open during Tet are always crowded with customers. Ho Chi Minh City is in the hot days. I took my whole family to the supermarket to cool off, have fun, and eat. In the morning, it was still quiet, but from 12 noon onwards, the number of customers increased" - Ms. Minh Thu (living in Binh Tan district) said.
The buffet area is always crowded with customers, staff constantly replenishing food in the boxes and counters.
The dining area was almost full. "After choosing our dishes, our family found a table and "feasted" right there, which was both cheap and fun, saving more than sitting at a restaurant in a shopping mall with waiters. After eating, I would take my children to the movies or participate in games as requested by the children," said Nguyen Van Binh (from Long An).
A fast food restaurant was also full. Most of the restaurants did not increase food prices or charge extra for Tet, so customers were very satisfied.
No seats available, many customers sat outside waiting for the previous guests to leave so that a table could be available. "It's Tet, everywhere, so it's okay if we wait a little bit" - a female customer happily said.
Resting chairs around shopping malls are used by customers to both rest and eat.
A family stopped at the supermarket and had lunch there.
A group of customers sat in a corner of the supermarket to rest.
Meanwhile, many children are engrossed in reading books in the supermarket while going out to celebrate Tet with their families.
At the beginning of the year, many brands launch attractive promotions.
Although there were promotions right at the beginning of the new year, the stores were quite empty.
